Wall-E Is A Disney Animation Movie Worth Seeing

By Roberta Christensen

Arriving to theaters on June 27 of '08, Disney Pixar's "Wall-E" was a huge hit. Having millions of hits, critics ranked this film highly. Between the laughs, and the tears, this movie is over-all a heart warming animated film. Wall-E has gained many friends since the release date, and has quickly raised his popularity level!

Best Picture Award is up for grabs to this motion picture film at the Oscars. What a big deal this would be! It would be the very first animated film that won Best Picture. This movie represents the extend people, and even inanimate objects go to keep friendship alive. Imagine the intensity that must be put into this process in creating animated characters expressing friendship and love. In order for the viewers to "believe" what is going on, the director must analyze each movement made.

This post-apocalyptic robot embarks on a journey that could change society in the blink of an eye. He first leaves for the distant future because of another attractive robot he meets named Eve. Eve seems to be on some sort of mission, but Wall-E over looks this because he is so pre-occupied with the attraction he feels towards her. Just like humanity, this little robot is absorbed with Eve and her "beauty".

Wall-E's purpose is to clean up the waste that covers the earth. He picks up, piles up, and compresses trash. While at the job site, he encounters something very strange. Something that has never happened before. Me meets Eve, which came from a rocket ship that landed in the junkyard spontaneously. Wall-E feels attraction towards Eve, which is why he takes the long journey back to the future with her. Eve does not know the small robot came along.

When wall-e arrives to the distant future, he is preoccupied with Eve, whom he first left for. But, things start to uncover. He begins to realize that not only his kind, but humanity could be in jeopardy due to imbalances. I am not going to give away the ending. You will have to watch it for yourself!

In a short duration, I will discuss a couple o the cast members that play a role in this movie. Successful Ben Burtt voices two characters in the movie, Wall-E and MO. Ben is very productive in american sound designing. He was involved in many world phenomenon movies including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, E. T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and Star Wars.

The costar who voices Eve is Elissa Knight. This actress has played in many other animated movies including Lil aka "3" in Toy Story 3, Tia in Cars, and a woman in the restaurant in Ratatouille. Other character's voices in Wall-E areJohn Ratzenberger who voices John, Fred Willard who voices Shelby Forthright - BnL CEO, and Kathy Najimy who voices Mary.

Filled with laughs, and sad moments, this film has a heart warming plot.
