Looking For A Remarkable Movie? Check Out These Wonderful Movie Critiques

By Alberta Pierce

The greater part of movie download sites have a significant library of films that you can download directly to your computer or sometimes they are streamed straight to the server. Some of them will offer a software program that will allow you to burn the movie to a disc for watching from flat screen.

Big Trouble in Little China - Buddy Blowhard trucker Russell finds himself at large in Chinatown, while a friend's fiance is abducted right in front of his eyes. High tech Indiana Jones fashion escapade has huge tongue-in-cheek demeanor, however everything else in reference to it is large, too including Russell's John Wayne swagger. Brilliant electric music score. The cast includes Kurt Russell, Kim Cattrall, Dennis Dun, James Hong, Champ Wong, and Kate Burton. (99 minutes, 1986)

The Stepford Wives - An up to date remake of the 1975 flick of the same name. The town of Stepford, on opening appearance, seems like the perfect place. Everything in Stepford seems perfect. Newcomers to Stepford Joanne and Bobbie are starting to wonder what is going on. Will they figure it out before it is too late?

The Geisha Boy - Jerry, an bungling warlock, travels to Japan with catastrophic repercussions. Creative graphic gags; there's a cute pattern characterizing the Los Angeles Dodgers and, specifically, Gil Hodges. Cast includes Jerry Lewis, Marie McDonald, Sessue Hayakawa, Nobu McCarthy, Suzanne Pleshette, Barton MacLane, and Robert Hirano. (98 minutes, 1958)

Lunatics and Lovers - Aristocrat Mastroianni has a imaginary spouse; an organ grinder persuades prostitute Mori to "impersonate" her. While it's not unintelligent, it's monotonous. Cast includes Marcello Mastroianni, Claudia Mori, Lino Morelli, Flora Carabella, and Adriano Celentano. (93 minutes, 1976)

Vertical Limit - Peter Garett, an ex mountain climber who gave the sport up after his father died terribly while climbing, finds himself in a troubling circumstances. His sister and climbing partner have been trapped in a deep chasm while attempting to climb the famous K2 peak. He is one of the only people competent of even attempting a near impossible rescue. Time is of the essence, as the trapped climbers will soon freeze to death.

Onionhead - A untidy film with Griffith joining the Coast Guard in pre WW2 and becoming a ships chef. The motion picture tries to be a comedy, a romance, and a drama at the same time and succeeds at none. Cast includes Andy Griffith, Felicia Farr, Walter Matthau, Erin O'Brien, Joe Mantell, Ray Danton, James Gregory, Joey Bishop, Roscoe Karns, Claude Akins, Peter Brown, and Tige Andrews. (110 minutes, 1958)

Aladdin - Disney's animated Arabian Days tale is refined through the sensibility of an old Warner Bros. animation, as Aladdin summons up a Genie who is exploding with shtick. Williams' amusing fast fire patter forms the centerpiece of this otherwise conventional tale, colorfully (and tunefully) shown. Cast includes Voices of Scott Weinger, Robin Williams, Linda Larkin, Jonathan Freeman, Frank Welker, Gilbert Gottfried, Douglas Seale and the harmonizing voices of Brad Kand and Lea Salonga. (90 minutes, 1992)

Rent-a-Kid - While the supervisor of an orphanage takes a holiday, dad Nielsen takes over with a idea to produce cash by renting out kids. While predictable, this daft premise is unpredictably successful. Sooner or later 3 kids are rented by a stylish '90s couple considering adopting. A respectable family movie. Cast includes Leslie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, Matt McCoy, Sherry Miller, and Amos Crawley. (89 minutes, 1995)
